The Times Union is reporting that a school bus accident near Averill Park High School has resulted in five students and their bus driver being transported to two local hospitals. Around 7:30 AM, a car collided with the rear of a school bus that was carrying students near the intersection of Route 43 and Gettle Road in Averill Park. The six individuals were transported to either Albany Memorial Hospital or Samaritan Hospital as a precaution, but fortunately none of the injuries are thought to be serious. The school district has notified the parents of the students onboard the bus and provided a notice regarding the crash on their website.
