Severe surgical malpractice costs man his nose
There are an increasing number of people in Syracuse who are opting for plastic surgery and, for many of the people, the patient experiences no problems whatsoever. That is, in part, because plastic surgery is an incredibly difficult field and surgeons often undergo extensive training before ever operating on a person. There are other doctors, however, who perform operations that are negligent and reckless, the very definition of surgical malpractice.
Unfortunately for one man, his surgeon's medical malpractice cost him his nose. The patient had gone in for a very simple procedure -- a nose job -- but because of a series of errors by the doctor, the man had to undergo 21 additional surgeries that left him with no nose and in considerable pain. Now, he is filing a medical malpractice lawsuit against his former surgeon.
A medical malpractice lawsuit is an important option for anyone who is injured by their doctor. A lawsuit accuses a doctor or other medical professionals of failing to comply with common medical procedures and putting their patients' lives at risk. If a patient is successful, he or she can receive compensation for more than just the pain and suffering he or she went through, but also all of the damages caused by the medical errors. This includes the cost of medical care, a loss of income and much more.
Although it is yet unknown how the man's medical malpractice lawsuit will turn out, if what he alleges is true, the doctor may be responsible for some very serious surgical errors.
